Mindy Boyd has been teaching at the Charter School of Excellence since 2005 and graduated from Edinboro University. She teaches Learning Support Math, 2 required elective classes (Personal Development and Skills and Applications), Yearbook advisor and a Teacher of Record for students identified with special needs. During her 1st year teaching at the Charter School, she created the curriculum for the Skills and Applications course. She have taken on many duties and responsibilities such as: being a Teacher Mentor for new inductees, been part of: Curriculum Planning Teams, Head of Student Government, Contributor to the BEST committees. She also has planned and organized many fundraiser events and field trips for the Leadership Center. In the 2011-2012 and 2015-2016 school years, she was humbly awarded "Teacher of the Year" by her colleagues. In 2015 she became a writing contributor to the character book, entitled Character: Be About It.
